10-hour power break to hit Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced a 10-hour power interruption in this city today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Elizabeth Ladaga, NGCP regional information officer, said the power interruption will affect consumers of the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative’s (Zamcelco) Cabatangan sub-station.

The interruption will give way to the transmission line maintenance work at structure numbers 23-D, 34-HS and 50-HT along the Pitogo-Tumaga 69 kilovolts line of the NGCP.

Zamcelco information officer Ferdinand Rodriguez said a brief power interruption will be experienced in areas under Camanchile Sub-station for the duration of maintenance work as required by switching procedures to shift the substations from NGCP’s Pitogo to Zamboanga Sub-station and vice-versa.
