• 1,000 PASSENGERS STRANDED AT TACLOBAN AIRPORT

    A THOUSAND passengers were stranded at the Daniel Z. Romualdez (DZR) airport in Tacloban, City after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Wednesday suspended all domestic flights due to the ongoing repairs of the runway potholes there. Officer-in-charge Allan Cahingcoy said CAAP Tacloban received the notice for suspension of operations for the DZR airport “to give way the ongoing repairs of the potholes runway of the airport.” The suspension which took effect on 5 a.m. will be lifted on 5 a.m. on Thursday.
