LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: Eleven persons were arrested in Lingayen when a composite team of lawmen simultaneously raided their respective houses by virtue of search warrants issued by the courts on July 7.
The arresting team were from the Lingayen Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) –Special Action Tracker Team 1, Provincial Public Safety Company-Special Weapons and Tactics and Pangasinan Highway Patrol Team.
Arrested at 4:30 a.m. on July 7 were Jefferson Gadiano, alias Jerson, of Sitio Aplaya, Pangapisan, from whom one calibre .38 home-made revolver with three live ammunition were seized.
Meanwhile, Roberto Reyes, 55; Oliver Santos, 26; and Camille Soriano, 19, were caught in the act of sniffing shabu (methamphetamine) in a supposed pot session in the same place.
Recovered from them were four small sachets of shabu, three opened plastic sachets with shabu residue, small amount of marijuana, three lighters and four improvised tooters.
Lawmen next implemented another search warrant in the house of Randy Tiangson, 39, in Pangapisan North, Lingayen where they seized one box containing assorted drug paraphernalia, one plastic sachet of shabu, a cellphone, one Caliber 38 revolver, one hand grenade and a 9 mm pistol replica.
Also arrested in that house were Jean Tiangson, 24, of Mayor Street in Barangay Maniboc; Daniel Tiangson, 45, of Pantal, Bugallon; Richard Gamboa of Sitio Aplaya, Pangapisan; Jessie Soep, 34, of Libsong West, Lingayen; and Jomar Cabanting, 34, of Hacienda, Bugallon;
Another search warrant was served by lawmen at the house of Arnold Castillo, also of Barangay Pangapisan North, Lingayen,where they found one yellow plastic box containing eight big sachets of alleged shabu called locally as “bulto,” one digital weighing scale, assorted drug paraphernalia, one case containing one live ammunition for 9 mm pistol, three live ammunition for caliber .22 pistol and one disassembled caliber .38 revolver.
Two other persons were arrested by lawmen in Mapandan and another in Sual when they implemented separate search warrants.
Arrested in Mapandan were Max Garcia and Marilyn Garcia,both of Barangay Coral in Mapandan from whom lawmen two small transparent sachet of shabu taken from the top of a bed sheet, 11 small heat-sealed transparent sachets of shabu placed in a box, 11 pieces of aluminum foil, two scissors and two lighters.
Arrested in Sual was Jaime Viadness, alias “Tata,” 55, a fish vendor from whom two plastic sachets of shabu were seized.
