11 flights cancelled due to bad weather


Around 10 domestic flights and one international flight were cancelled on Saturday morning due to bad weather, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said.

Via Twitter, the DOTC noted that among the flights cancelled include: 5J-323 (Manila-Legazpi), 5J-324 (Legazpi-Manila), 5J-521 (Manila-Naga), 5J-522 (Naga-Manila), 5J-877 (Manila-Cotabato), and 5J-888 (Cotabato-Manila).

All flights belonged to Cebu Pacific.

Among other flights cancelled include: 2P-2959 (Manila-Cotabato), 2P-2960 (Cotabato-Manila), 2P-2925 (Manila-Legazpi), and 2P-2926 (Legazpi-Manila).

These flights belonged to Philippine Airlines (PAL).

The only international flight cancelled so far is Cebu Pacific flight 5J-679 (Pudong-Manila).

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a thunderstorm is more likely to develop over the National Capital Region (NCR) within 12 hours due to tropical storm “Luis”.

The state-run weather bureau, meanwhile, advised residents to continue monitoring for updates. PNA
