SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao: Eight persons were killed, including a high-value target, in North Cotabato while four were slain in Laguna and Cavite during anti-illegal drugs operations on Friday.
Joint police and anti-narcotics agents, backed by contingents from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), were about to serve search warrants against drug suspects Dadting Kasan and Bai Intan Aban in their residences in Sitio Biao, Barangay Kilada, Matalam town when they were met with a volley of gunfire from the suspects triggering a firefight, said Supt. Bernard Tayong, spokesman for the North Cotabato police office.
