• 128 women finish literacy, livelihood skills training in Sulu


    SULU: At least 128 women have finished literacy and livelihood skills training conducted by the Sulu Provincial Women Council Center in partnership with the Alternative Learning System of the Department of Education and the provincial government. Nurunisah Tan, head of the Sulu Provincial Women Council Center, emphasized that the skills acquired are avenues to better opportunities and to empower women. Among the graduates were 38 women who completed the adult literacy course; 25 completed the baking course, 34 food processing, and 31 passed the dressmaking course.
