15 fishing boat passengers, including 2 kids, rescued


ORMOC CITY: FIFTEEN passengers of a motorized fishing boat were all rescued after it capsized at the middle of the sea between Camotes Islands and Danao City, because of big waves. The passengers were reported to be employees of Cebu Sendai Motors based in Mandaue City who had team building activity in Camotes and were returning to Cebu. The fishing boat Semiona is owned by Alex Maramba, former barangay chairman of Unidos, San Francisco town, Camotes island. It was learned the vessel is not authorized to carry and transport passengers.
