BAGUIO CITY: Fourteen persons were injured in a six-vehicle collision on Kennon Road, Baguio City, on Saturday night.

Authorities said a truck that lost its brakes at a downhill section of Kennon in Camp 7 and smashed into five vehicles ahead of it.

Rescue teams and firefighters struggled to pull out people from the wrecked Isuzu truck, passenger jeep (license plate AYM 646), Mitsubishi Adventure (TXQ 499), Isuzu Highlander (ADG 984), Jitney, and an Adventure taxi (AYT 809).

“The truck must have lost its brakes and hit the other vehicles,” a bystander said. “It’s a good thing none of the LPG tanks it was carrying exploded.”


Authorities did not mention the road conditions at the time of the accident.
