BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: At least 15 villages in the province have been placed by the Philippine National Police as areas of election concern this coming barangay polls.
Vizcaya police director Sr. Supt. Valfrie Tabian said that these villages are located in the towns of Bayombong, Aritao and the upland towns of Ambaguio, Dupax del Sur, Kayapa and Kasibu.
Police said 13 of the villages are considered areas of concern owing to recent sightings of New People’s Army while the two other villages had records of election-related violence in the past two elections.
Tabian said they have been mo-nitoring these villages to ensure peace and order during the election period.
