15 victims of human trafficking rescued

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents on Thursday morning rescued 15 women who are believed to be victims of human trafficking. The victims were alleged recruits of TUEM International Management Corp., whose franchise as manpower recruitment agency had also allegedly expired. At 9 a.m., the NBI agents swooped down on 1332 Leon Ginto Street in Paco, Manila, and found the victims inside the building located at the back of Philippine Women’s University. The victims said they were applying for jobs abroad.
