The world’s largest cargo plane brought to the country on Tuesday a 150-ton transformer that will replace a similar piece of equipment in the Lopez-led FGP Corp.’s San Lorenzo natural gas-fired power plant that previously caught fire.

The transformer was loaded on board the Antonov 225 (AN225) aircraft in Zagreb, Croatia, which departed on Sunday and arrived early morning on Tuesday at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The 150-ton transformer is considered the heaviest cargo to be loaded into an airplane in one piece and flown into the Philippines.
