1,500 EVACUATED AFTER WWII BOMB FOUND IN BUDAPEST

BUDAPEST: Hungarian police evacuated around 1,500 people in Budapest on Wednesday after a World War II bomb was discovered during construction work at an apartment block near Buda Castle. “Around 80 residential blocks must be evacuated after a World War II bomb weighing 50 kilograms (110 pounds) was found in Pala street,” Melinda Varkonyi, a spokeswoman for the Hungarian army, told state newswire MTI.
