18 flights remain grounded because of rains



At least 18 domestic flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were still grounded because of heavy rains in a wide area of the country.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said that as of noon Wednesday, Cebu Pacific Air had cancelled the following flights: 5J 821/5J 822 (Manila-Virac-Manila), 5J 397/5J 398 (Manila-Cagayan-Manila), 5J 391 D/5J 392 D (Manila-Cagayan-Manila), 5J 383/5J 384 (Manila-Cagayan-Manila) and 5J 377/5J 378 (Manila-Cagayan-Manila).

AirPhil Express flights that were cancelled are 2P 869/2P 870(Manila–Cagayan-Manila), 2P 519/2P 520 (Manila-Cagayan-Manila), 2P 5519/2p 5520 (Mnaila-Cagayan-Manila), the Basco, Batanes, flight, 2P 084 and back, 2P 085.

The airlines advised their passengers booked for the cancelled flights to rebook, or re-route, or have a fare refund.
