Various groups are collaborating to gather one million volunteers to support the government’s rehabilitation and recovery efforts in areas struck last year by Super Typhoon Yolanda, an official of Philippine Medical Association (PMA) said on Tuesday.

PMA President Dr. Leo Olarte said the volunteers have started coordinating with other non-government organizations and the private sector for a multi sector initiative that would field volunteers who have the expertise in different fields, particularly housing, health, livelihood and education.
