Two alleged armed drug dealers were killed in separate buy-busts conducted by the Malolos City Police on Thursday night. Bulacan acting police director and Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. identified the slain suspects as an alias “Jonel” and an alias “Rolly.” Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos City Police Station officer-in-charge, said the buy-bust in Barangay Mabolo, Malolos resulted in the death of “Jonel” while his cohort escaped. The suspect reportedly arrived with his accomplice onboard a motorcycle but sensing that he was dealing with an undercover agent drew his firearm and opened fire at the poseur buyer but missed. Similarly, a similar operation conducted in Barangay Sumapang Bata killed “Rolly” who fired his improvised firearm at police officers, triggering a gunfight resulting in his death.
