TWO people died after a fire engulfed a residential area in Makati City on Friday.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Librado Villanueva of the Makati City Fire Department identified the fatalities as Danilo Deloviar, 60; and Grace Quintanar, 35.
He said the fire struck at least seven houses in Barangay West Rembo at about 12:19 a.m. on Friday and was declared out at around 1:30 a.m.
Quintanar’s four pet dogs also died in the fire that reached Task Force Alpha.
Only after 3 hours when fire fighters were able to retrieve the remains of the two fatalities.
Arson investigators theorized that an unattended candle or gas lamp may have caused the blaze since there was no electricity in the area at the time the fire erupted.
The cost of damage from the fire was estimated at P200,000.
