TWO Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) officials filed for leave in the wake of the suspension order, which the Office of the Ombudsman had issued, their spokespersons said on Monday.
ERC Commissioners Alfredo Non and Gloria Victoria Yap-Taruc filed for a "terminal and wellness leave ahead of their retirement on July 10," said lawyer Rolly Faller, who acts as the counsel and spokesperson for two of the four who were suspended for three months without pay after they were found guilty of simple neglect of duty .
