2 Fil-Chinese pushers nabbed with P118M worth of shabu

Police on Tuesday morning arrested two Filipino-Chinese carrying 10 kilos of shabu with a street value of P118 million.

Nabbed were John Chua Sy of Valenzuela City and Anthony Ang Chu of Caloocan City.

Supt. Raymund Liguden, the commander of Meisic Police Station, said that at about 5:30 a.m. his men received a tip that the two suspects were smoking marijuana near the station.

PO3 Francisco Mañago and PO2 Richard Sibayan of the anti-illegal drugs special operations task unit acted on the tip.

Seeing the suspects smoking marijuana in flagrante delicto, they immediately accosted them.

The police officers found luggage in their possession which, when opened, revealed packs of suspected shabu in black plastic bags.

Laboratory experts confirmed the confiscated contraband was indeed shabu.

The case against Sy and Chu is non-bailable, and if they are found guilty they may spend the rest of their lives in jail.
