2 former governors back Robredo’s vice presidential bid

BACOLOD CITY: Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo does not only have the support of Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., two of Marañon’s predecessors support her bid for vice president in tandem with Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Manuel Roxas 2nd.

Former governors Daniel Lacson, who was chairman of Government Service Insurance System until his resignation early this year, and Rafael Coscolluela, who used to serve as administrator of the Sugar Regulatory Administration, came to support Robredo during the ”Gathering of Friends” hosted by Marañon at the Provincial Capitol on Tuesday.

Coscolluela said that the choice for Robredo has a big impact in the 2016 elections. “I think the new element to the whole 2016 elections is a combination of heart, sincerity, this legacy of Jesse Robredo, good governance and everything good that we are looking for in 2016 elections.”
