POLICE operatives arrested on Wednesday in Tagaytay City two dreaded gun for hire suspects said be behind the killing of a female real-estate broker and a government lawyer in Parañaque and Tagaytay City respectively, reports said Thursday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the duo as Julius Capongol and Arwin Bio, both of legal age.
The reports said that, the two were arrested by elements of the Tagaytay City police office as part of ongoing pursuit operations against the killers of lawyer Reynaldo Aquino, 63, of the Registry of Deeds of Nasugbu, Batangas.
Police records revealed that the two reportedly shot and killed Aquino along the Aguinaldo Highway corner Magallanes Drive in Brgy. Maharlika in Tagaytay City on June 4.
Investigation also revealed that the two were also behind the killing of Josephine Sarmiento, 52, a real-estate broker inside the Pancake House along President Ave., BF Homes, Parañaque City on May 20.
The reports said that, the two are still detained at Tagaytay City police station while elements of the Parañaque City police office are preparing to file murder charges against them in connection with the killing of the real estate broker.
The reports said the two arrested suspects are undergoing interrogation to determine the identities of the persons or the brains behind the killing of the their victims in Tagaytay and Parañaque City.
