2 HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS IN BORACAY RESCUED

ILOILO CITY: The police authorities in the province of Aklan rescued two teenagers from white slavery in Boracay Island off mainland Malay, Aklan. Police report reaching here over the weekend said the two human trafficking victims from Iloilo whose identities were withheld by the police authorities were 19 and 17 years old. The two claimed they were brought to the island resort by a 24-year-old Cherry Tumunong from Barangay Tagbak, Iloilo City but temporarily residing in Boracay Island who offered them jobs as housemaid but they didn’t expect that they would end up as entertainers in one of the bars in the island.
