2 kids die in Zamboanga landslide


ZAMBOANGA CITY: Two children aged 13 and 16 died in a landslide that hit Limpapa village on Saturday, destroying at least three houses. The victims were trapped in their thatched house when the landslide struck, following days of heavy rains. In Tugbungan village, more than 200 people were evacuated due to flash floods and water released by the Zamboanga City Water District. Mayor Maria Isabelle Salazar has deployed disaster response teams in flooded areas and warned villagers living near rivers to take precaution.
