2 killed, 3 injured in Simbang Gabi accident 


LINGAYEN,Pangasinan: A private school teacher in Urdaneta City was killed while three students, who went with him to attend the 9:30 p.m. Simbang Gabi (Dawn Mass) on Monday, are in critical condition when the tricycle they were riding accidentally bumped a truck, which was parked along the provincial road in Urdaneta City.

Urdaneta City chief of police Supt. Neil Miro said killed was Jomar Aquino and in critical condition are Kz Elizalde and Nelson Royupa of Villasis and John Michael Ramos of Barangay Pedro T. Orata. Earlier, on the same day, in Rosales town, Ryan Dagdag, vice president of Progressive Grocer Cooperative and a resident of Barangay Burgos in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, was also killed when the motorcycle he was riding on his way to Simbang Gabi accidentally crashed into an Elf truck that was also parked along the road shoulder. The doctor who examined Dagdag confirmed that the latter was under the influence of liquor. He and his companions had just attended their Christmas party and were planning to attend Mass. Dagdag was a recipient of several awards given at the party for rendering free services to farmers of Pangasinan ang Nueva Ecija.
