2 men fall in an entrapment

Two men posing as cameramen of a TV News outfit along with another man posing as National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agent fell in an entrapment operation after they tried to extort P100,000 from a businessman in Quezon City, Wednesday afternoon. Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit chief Chief Insp. Rodel Marcelo identified the suspects as Robbie Zamora, 29, and Timothy James Tibaja, 21, who posed as cameramen and Victor Lee, 36, who posed as NBI agent. The suspects went to the house of Reynaldo Orense, 56, an owner of paper bag business claiming they have a video tape showing two of his employees complaining of maltreatment. They were apprehended while accepting the ‘boodle money.’ Charges of robbery extortion and usurpation of authority have been slapped against the trio who are now detained at the QCPD-CIDU headquarters in Camp Karingal.
