• 2 motorcycle thieves slain in Tarlac


    CAMP MACABULOS, Tarlac City: Two motorcycle thieves were killed in an encounter with policemen at the by-pass road in Barangay Binauganan here on Tuesday. Senior Supt. Ritchie Medardo Posadas, Tarlac Police Provincial Office director, said elements of Tracker Team of the Provincial Intelligence Branch were monitoring lawless elements within the city when they received a phone call from Insp. Wilhelmino Alcantara that a motorcycle was stolen in the nearby village of Paraiso. Setting an operation, the policemen chanced upon the fleeing suspects on board the stolen motorcycle, a Honda RS 125, and pursued them. The suspects opened fire at the lawmen triggering the firefight resulting in the death of the unidentified suspects. Recovered from the crime scene were a .38 caliber revolver loaded with three bullets and two fired cases; a .22 caliber revolver with six fired bullets; three sachets of shabu about 0.189 grams and the stolen motorcycle.
