LEGAZPI CITY: Suspected communist insurgents launched a series of attacks in at least six towns in the island province of Masbate on Tuesday, wounding the chief of police in Batuan town and a policeman.
Police Senior Inspector Arthur Gomez, spokesman of Regional Task Force Masbate said Senior Insp. Aldrin Rosales, Batuan chief of police and one of his men, Senior Police Officer 1 Amado Abiola were wounded in a roadside bombing at about 8:50 a.m.
