Two suspected drug pushers, also facing murder and car theft charges, were killed after they engaged operatives to a gunfight during a buy-bust on Tuesday in Caloocan City. The slain suspects – Eljun Paule, alias “Bigbang” and Danilo Magsael alias “Dondon” – were subject of operation in Santa Rita North Bukid, Barangay 188, Tala. But Paule sensed that they were dealing with a poseur buyer and pulled out his firearms, ensuing a shoot out with the police team. Magsael also tried to pull a grenade’s pin but was shot dead by another officer. Recovered from the slain suspects were a caliber 9mm pistol, a hand grenade,11 heat-sealed sachets containing shabu and drug paraphernalia. Caloocan Drug Enforcement Unit head, Chief Insp. Timothy Aniway Jr. said the slain suspects were both members of “Commando Gang” and included in the police and barangay (village) drug watch list.
