Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army (PA) dismantled two suspected shabu tiangge (flea markets) in Cebu City on Tuesday. PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña said the illegal facilities were located in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita. PDEA Regional Office 7 Director Yogi Filemon Ruiz said the shabu flea markets are owned and operated by Richard Cañete and Josephine Cuyno. Cañete was arrested, while Cuyno escaped during a raid. Also taken into custody were Kevin Padilla, 23; Jethro Bocog, 30; Alvin Villarosa, 26; Marjul Escalante, 29; Orlando Delubio, 23; Gilbert Villahermosa, 37; Joselito Milca, 38; Ricardo Gratis, 57; Roderick Racaza, 43; Noel Caritan, 51; Tessie Ababa, 35; Agustianet Ababa, 38; Romeo Flores, 53; and a 17-year-old girl, who were found at the shabu tiangge. Seized were seven plastic sachets of shabu worth P800,000 and drug paraphernalia.
