TWO army soldiers were killed and two others were wounded following a clash between government troops and New People’s Army (NPA) rebels on Saturday morning in a remote village in Negros Occidental in central Philippines.

In a report, 2nd Lieutenant Ma. Revekka Knothess Roperos, information officer of the Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade, said the took place at around 6:45 a.m. at Sitio Carbon, in Toboso town’s Brgy. San Isidro.
