Itogon, Benguet: Two miners trapped inside a mine, known as one of the “Benguet Mine Death Chambers” were found dead, 24 hours after the tunnel caved in on Thursday afternoon.
Joint rescue teams composed of miners, police and local government rescuers found Eddie Latigo, 50, from Tram, in Ucab, Itogon, lifeless at 3:30 p.m. on Friday while the body of Jonas Isang, 24, a native of Kabiten, Mankayan town in Benguet was discovered 10 minutes later inside the mine located in Antamok, Ucab, Itogon in Benguet.
