TWO army troopers were killed and two others were wounded in a clash between government soldiers and suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels on Saturday in a remote village in Toboso town, Negros Occidental.
Philippine Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IB) information officer, 2nd Lieutenant Ma. Revekka Knothess Roperos, said that troops from the Alpha Company of the 62ndIB were conducting combat patrol operation in Sitio Carbon, Barangay San Isidro in Toboso town when they encountered at least 10 NPA rebels.
