TWO young children died in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Talon IV, Las Piñas City (Metro Manila), early Wednesday morning. Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officers said the parents of Eunice, a toddler, and Princess Nicole, an infant, Roselyn Binegla and Richard Palmones were out of the house when the fire struck. Arson investigators are looking into the possibility that an unattended candle sparked the fire that razed about 20 houses on Everlasting Street, Medina compound at about 12:30 a.m. that reached third alarm. Forty families were reportedly displaced while a woman was brought to the hospital for injuries after she jumped from the window of her house. The estimated cost of damage was placed at P300,000.
