• 20 families displaced in QC fire


    A fire in Project 2, Quezon City consumed up to 20 rooms of a residential and commercial apartment and displaced about 20 families on Monday morning. The blaze started past 6 a.m. at a printing press rented by Roger Castor. The said apartment complex in Dapdap Street, Barangay Duyan-Duyan is owned by an Atty. Steven David. According to Quezon City Fire Marshall Supt. Jesus Fernandez, the apartment was made with light materials which caused the fire to spread quickly. The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the alert level to fourth alarm before a fire-out was declared at 6:57 a.m. The cause of fire is yet to be determined. No casualty or injury was recorded. The estimated cost of damage to property was P500,000.
