    Twenty promising tankers were named Most Outstanding Swimmers in the Philippine Swimming League (PSL) 101st National Series Novice and Motivational Swimming Meet held at the Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool in Quezon City.

    Record-breakers Aishel Cid Evangelista (boys’ 6-under) and Master Charles Janda (boys’ 7-year) bannered the MOS winners in the Motivational Division after collecting 50 points in their respective age bands.

    Also winning MOS trophies were Tara Beard (6-under), Chelsea Pastolero (7), Maria Francesca Barretto (8), Trixie Ortiguerra (9), Tiffany Shaine Sanchez (10), Allyza Marie Palermo (11), Rigel Cassandra Hechanova (12), Katrina Coronel (13), Felice Alexis Reyes (14) and Danielle Kyra Pelayo (15-over) in the girls’ class.

    Emeril Valdez (8), Joey Del Rosario (9), Matthew Garcia (10), Arbeen Miguel Thruelen (11), Mark Joseph Viernes (12), Lowestein Julian Lazaro (13), John Rafhael Enriquez (14) and Leonard Licudo (15-over) were the other MOS in the boys’ category.

    “We have a lot of local and international tournaments lined up this year and next year and we want these young swimmers to experience a high-level of competition and give them the opportunity to represent our country,” said PSL President Susan Papa.

    Kalipayan Sailfish Swim Team bagged the overall championship crown by earning 646 points, beating second-placer Tarlac Mako Shark Swim Team (500 points) and third-placer Wesleyan College of Manila (470).

    Rounding up the Top 10 are Susan Papa Swim Academy-Paranaque (375), Aquaspeed Sailfish (374), Malabon Swim Club (371), Club Manila East (336), Philippine Navy Dependent (270), Navotas Swim Team (263) and Hermosa Stingrays Swim Team (250).

    PSL is a national sports swimming association for Universities and Colleges accredited by the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (Fessap), internationally affiliated member of Federation of International Sports University (FISU).
