Some 200 armed men attacked a school in North Cotabato early Wednesday, according to a local official in a live radio interview.

Mayor Eliseo Garsesa of Pigcawayan said the men, suspected to be members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), swooped down on the village of Malagasit, 660 kilometers north of Marawi City, which has been under siege from the Maute terrorist group for close to a month.
