LUCENA CITY: More than 2,000 people from this city and neighboring town of Mauban benefited from the 3-day medical and dental mission that ended Friday, jointly hosted by SM Foundation Inc., Kiwanis Club of Lucena City and Rotary Club of Lucena Circle. The first day was devoted to soldiers and their dependents, with doctors from SolCom also in attendance where ECG and x-ray were also provided. The second day in Mauban town gave dental service, affording 150 residents free tooth extraction. The last day was held at the Event Center of the mall in Lucena where dentists and doctors dispensed free check-up, medicine, including antibiotics and vitamins for kids and the elderly. Two patients, who were suffering chronic symptoms of lung disease and hypertensive cade, were quickly moved to the Quezon Medical Center.
