23 WVISAYAS police assigned to CAR


ILOILO CITY: A total of 23 police officers from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) in Western Visayas have been reassigned to the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in Luzon since July 29 after finishing the “character aptitude development enhancement training” in Camp Delgado here. The PRO 6 spokesman, Supt. Gilbert Gorero, said 60 policemen from different units were ordered to take the character enhancement training as part of internal cleansing in the Philippine National Police. The officers were Chief Insp. Joseph Euje Almaquer, Chief Insp. Kitt Flora, Chief Insp. Kenneth Ray Militar, Senior Insp. Christopher Rodriguez, Senior Insp. Adolfo Pagharion Jr., Insp. Wilfredo Hofileña and Insp. Sammy Daguro. The non-commissioned officers were Senior Police Officer 4 Salvador Emmanuel 2nd; SPO 2 Jefferson Pogaja; Police Officers 3 Allan Lasap, Alberto Precia Jr., Arnold Cadiao, Charlie Marginado, Herald Quiambao, Leopoldo Diangson Jr., Rene Tangkoy and Emilio Catedral Jr.; PO2 Jesus Patrick dela Cruz 4th, Rex Gabawa, Rey Man Bomaras and Jose Delgado; and PO1 Godofredo Jamoro Jr. and James Olvido. Gorero said 27 other police officers were also subjected to character training and will be given new assignments, reportedly to form the safety battalion for the highlands site of Jalaur River Multipurpose Project (JRMP II) in Calinog, Iloilo. Meanwhile, six police officers who tested positive for illegal drugs will be subjected to summary dismissal proceedings. Lydia C. Pendon
