In the 3k run, Elbren Veri and Lovielyn Pama¬rian bested the other runners. The top finishers in each division received medals and other prizes in kind.

The race participants came from various schools, companies, non-government organizations and community groups. A number of foreigners, including Hotel Jen’s general manager Edward Kollmer, also participated in the marathon. The other notable personalities that joined the event were 2015 Miss Philippines-Air Chanel Olive Thomas, 2014 Miss Earth Jamie Herell and Reyna ng Aliwan Fiesta 2015 first runner-up Alexandra Faith Garcia. A triathlete and Ironman competitor, Garcia joined the 21k race.

The marathon is a project of the Manila Broadcasting Company in cooperation with the City of Manila and Landbank of the Philippines to save the Manila Bay.

The Manila Bay Clean-up Run coincides with the 76th founding anniversary of MBC’s flagship radio station DZRH—the Philippines’ oldest radio network.
