BANGUED: Abra Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Abreco) is working overtime to prevent private power producer Aboitiz Power Renewables Inc. (APRI), from making good its threat of cutting off its power supply due to the cooperative’s failure to settle its payments and other financial obligations.
Should APRI cut the power supply, thousands of consumers in Abra, especially those in 27 towns being serviced by Abreco, will experience extended power blackouts starting tomorrow.
