THREE military officers have been given new assignments in a reshuffle that the Philippine Army said is in line with the continuing career and leadership development program for its senior officers.
Col. Raul Farnacio is set to assume as head of the Army’s Internal Auditor and replace Brig. Gen. Dario Quindoza, whose compulsory retirement from the military service takes effect on September 30, 2015.
Farnacio, a member of Philippine Military Academy, Class of 1985, is the outgoing commander of the 901st Infantry Brigade.
He was the former chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Unified Command Staff, Central Command.
The Army is yet to announce Farnacio’s replacement.
Col. Rufino Ramoran Jr. has been designated as the new commander of the Army Personnel Management Center, vice Col. Claudio Yucot, who was named to lead the Army’s 901st Infantry Brigade in the Bicol Region.
Col. Joshua Santiago was named new commander of the National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command (Arescom), replacing Col. Corleto Vinluan, who was assigned as deputy Brigade Commander of the 803rd Infantry Brigade, 8th Infantry Division, in Leyte province.
Concurrent with his position at present, Santiago is also the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training of Arescom and the director of the 402nd Community Defense Center, 4th Regional Community Defense Group.
