• 3 arrested, 2 injured in videoke customers’ fight

THREE MEN were arrested by authorities after they mauled and stabbed two other customers Thursday night in a videoke bar in Valenzuela City. Police identified the suspects as Leonard Sarceno, 32, Celso Martinez, 34 and Jerry Biore, 34, all residents of Matias Street, Barangay Canumay West. The three were nabbed by Valenzuela Police led by Senior Police Officer (SPO) 2 Noe Saldivar less than an hour after the incident. Valenzuela police homicide investigator SPO3 Restie Mables said victims Melvin Maravilla, 39, of 359 J. Francisco Street, Barangay Parda and Rosario Bayote, 51, of Block 18 Lot 20 Phase 3 Villa Barreto, were drinking inside Jannetth Kitchenette and Videoke Bar on T. Santiago St., Paso de Blas at 11 p.m. when one of the waitresses sat on their table. The suspects allegedly got jealous after the waitress turned down their request to sit at their table. The suspects supposedly went to the victims’ table and struck Bayote with a bottle on the head. Maravilla tried to intervene but the suspects took turns mauling him and repeatedly stabbed him in the body. Police immediately rushed the victims to Valenzuela Medical Center. Rosario was in stable condition after treatment while Maravilla was placed under observation after he underwent surgical operation because of stab wounds.
