Police on Friday shot dead three alleged drug dealers in separate buy-busts in Quezon City.
The incidents brought to four the number of alleged drug dealers killed in the city since last month.
In early June, Edres Domato, allegedly the top drug dealer in Quezon City, Caloocan City, Malabon City, Navotas City and Valenzuela City, all in Metro Manila, and Bulacan was killed also by police in an ambush.
Police were trying to identify the three latest drug dealers to fall in the government’s anti-drug drive.
The first buy-bust took place around 2:20 a.m. along San Miguel Street in Batasan Hills where the suspect who was identified only as “Ver” was killed after he engaged police from Station 6 in a gunbattle.
Seized from “Ver” were five plastic sachets containing seven grams of shabu with a street value of around P6,000.
Police said the drug dealer’s partner escaped during the firefight.
They added that the second drug buy-bust took place on Kalantiaw and Evangelista streets in Barangay Bagong Buhay.
The buy-bust led to the killing of “Gilbert Rex,” who had traded shots with the police from Station 9.
Seized from him were six plastic sachets containing shabu worth P1,000.
The third buy-bust happened along C.P. Garcia Avenue in Barangay UP Campus.
No details on the incident were given by the police.
