Police operatives killed three drug suspects in separate anti-drug operations in Metro Manila’s eastern area on Friday night.
The slain suspect, identified only as alias “Balong,” was killed after he engaged police operatives in gunfight during a buy-bust at Nagpayong 2, Barangay Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City at around 8 p.m.
He was rushed to the Pasig City General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Recovered from the crime scene were a .38 caliber revolver loaded with five live ammunition, and four sachets of suspected shabu.
Another drug suspect, identified as Edwin de la Cruz, alias “Benhar,” was also killed during a buy-bust at Barangay Tumana in Marikina City at about 5:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect pulled out his .38 caliber revolver when he sensed that his buyer was a policeman. He allegedly fired at the policeman, prompting operatives to fire back.
The suspect was brought to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Also in Marikina City, an alleged drug pusher identified as Manny Carvahal was shot dead by a gunman in Barangay Parang. The victim was on the barangay drug watch list of suspects, police said.
