3 drug suspects slain in Manila

THREE men were shot dead during police operations in Manila on Monday and Tuesday.

In Tondo, police conducting an anti-criminality campaign approached Mario Rupillo, 28, who was riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

When he saw the policemen, Rupillo opened fire, forcing the lawmen to fire back.

Police said three sachets of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and a gun were recovered from the victim.

Two drug dealers were also killed in Tondo during a buy-bust conducted by members of the Station Anti-illegal drugs Police Station 7 that targeted Erick Santos.

PO1 Alfred Domosmog posed as a shabu buyer but when he handed the payment to Santos, the latter sensed the presence of policemen. He pulled out his gun but he was shot dead by the lawmen.

Santos’ accomplice, Armando Reyes, also fired at the police operatives but he was felled by the policemen’s bullets.

Police recovered from the two men sachets of suspected shabu and two handguns.

Meanwhile, in other parts of Manila, 11 men were arrested for possession of suspected shabu.
