After canceling the games last weekend due to the inclement weather, action resumes in the 14th Ang Liga with triple-header at the San Beda College Football Field in Manila on Saturday.
Starting off the weekend games is the clash between University Athletic Association of the Philippines champion University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas at 8 a.m.
The Fighting Maroons are currently on a high after winning all their games in the first division to clinch a record of three wins on top of the standings.
On the other hand, the Growling Tigers are fresh off their debut victory in the tournament with a 2-1 win over University of Batangas (UB) on July 31.
UP is expected to rely on young duo of Kintaro Miyagi and JB Borlongan as it stake its unbeaten record against UST, which will be led by top standout Marvin Bricenio.
Also seeing action are UP Team B and newcomers De La Salle Araneta University at 10 a.m. while Ateneo de Manila University battles National University at 3 p.m.
The Fighting Maroons is at the No. 2 spot, behind San Beda.
Ateneo opened its campaign on a strong note after trouncing University of the East (UE) , 2-0, also on July 31.
Meanwhile, four other games are slated to be played on Sunday as Far Eastern University (FEU) tackles San Beda at 10 a.m followed by the 3 p.m. meeting of UB and UE in the first division.
Also, San Beda Team B faces UST Team B at 8 a.m. while FEU Team B fights Emilio Aguinaldo College at 1 p.m. in the second division.
