• 3 hurt in armed conflict between Abu Sayyaf and government troops in Sulu


    AT least three civilians were reportedly hurt when government forces and Abu Sayyaf members traded fire in a remote village in Patikul, Sulu, police and military reports said on Saturday. Reports reaching the Philippine National Police National Operations Center in Camp Crame said that the fighting erupted at 1:45 p.m. in Barangay Taglibi, Patikul in Sulu. The civilians wounded in the explosion were all rushed to the Sulu Provincial Hospital for medical treatment. The Sulu provincial police is investigating the incident.
