Three moderate earthquakes shook various parts of Luzon and Mindanao on Monday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the first quake with a magnitude of 4.6 occurred at 1:57 a.m. and its epicenter was traced 14 kilometers northwest of Boac town in Marinduque with a shallow depth of one kilometer.
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity 3 at the Guinayangan, Quezon; Lipa, Batangas , while the towns of Los Banos, Laguna experienced Intensity 2 and Intensity 1 recorded at Quezon City.
The second tremor with a magnitude of 3.3 happened at 3:03 a.m. and its epicenter was located 94 kilometers northeast of Sarangani town in Davao Occidental.
The agency said that no reported intensity and had a shallow depth of nine kilometers.
Another quake with magnitude of 4.3 occurred in Surigao del Sur at around 3:12 a.m. Its epicenter was traced 79 kilometers northeast of the town of Bislig and Intensity 2 was also monitored of the said town.
The quake had a shallow depth of 18 kilometers.
Phivolcs said despite of the felt intensities, there was no report of damage or casualty from these tremors, which were all tectonic in origin and they also do not expect aftershocks from it. PNA
