Three suspected drug pushers were killed in an armed encounter in separate buy-busts conducted by Bulacan police in the towns of Bocaue and Santa Maria on Wednesday. Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., acting police provincial director, identified the slain suspects as Remedios Garcia of Barangay Caingin, Bocaue. The two suspects killed in Santa Maria town were identified as Alberto Sabasa, alias Don Abet, and John Paul Andres. Supt. Charlie Cabradilla, Bocaue chief of police, said operatives were shot at by Garcia after sensing that she was dealing with policemen, triggering a shootout that resulted in the death of the suspect. Sabasa and Andres reportedly resisted arrest in Barangay Lalakhan and Barangay Poblacion, respectively.
