Defending champion Cavite Sailfish and runner-up Navy Fleet Marines will be leading the participants in the one-day meet which is open to all swimmers ages 5-under, 6 to 16 and 17-over for boys and girls.

“The PSL realized that swimming in the Philippines is so much behind. The PSL, after almost five years of active grassroots development program, has already produce swimmers who can break national junior records,” said PSL President Susan Papa.

Also seeing action are swimmers from University of the Philippines Integrated Schoo, Zambales, Paranaque, Pampanga, Quezon, Cavite, Bicol, Quezon City, Manila, Marikina and Baguio.

“It only means our international exposure on our young swimmers and monthly competitions works. The creation of motivational competition monthly for our new swimmers will change the trend of showing up only every summer but rather continue their developmental program the whole year round,” added Papa.

“Our newcomers swimmers we help them cross the bridge easier. PSL has work so hard in democratizing swimming many are no longer afraid of joining our organization after realizing that,” she ended.

Trophies and medals will be awarded to the Most Outstanding Swimmers. The champion team gets P3,000 and second placer P2,000 and the third, P1,000. Class C and Novice winners will be awarded medals and Most Outstanding Swimmer trophies separately while Heat winners will also be given medals, according to Papa.
