THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said that almost 31,000 policemen across the country were promoted to the next higher rank after passing the requirements for the first and second level of the regular promotion program of the PNP.
PNP chief Ronald de la Rosa led the simultaneous mass oath-taking and pinning of ranks in Camp Crame and different police regional offices of some 30, 893 police commissioned officers (PCO) and police non-commissioned officers (PNCO).
PNP spokesman Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said 2,726 PCO and 28,167 PNCO applicants passed the examination and interviews for the first and second level of the regular promotions program and were found qualified for promotion effective on June 30.
At Camp Crame, the PNP national headquarters, 630 PCOs and 1,077 PNCOs were included in the promotion program.
“As Chief PNP and the father of this organization, I expect only the best from you.
Reciprocate my trust in you with fine service. But let me assure you that I also have your best interests in my heart and mind. For as long as you do your job well, you will be rewarded and supported well by the PNP leadership,” de la Rosa said.
